Oh, I'm no sure, but maybe I have some of plastic canvas in my house.
I will verify if have a piece of that, and make a substitution in my sump.

Yes it is a plastic material, do not know if very rough, but I'll check and if it is so rough, I'll use the dremmel to make it.

what´s the best to do when it´s full of algae? Change the canvas or just clean it up?

I think that the best way is just clean the excess..............and leave small frags of Algae.............for fast growing..................
If you replace the Canvas..............the Algae have to start from the "Zero"................
I don´t know.............is just what I think..............

Yuri, maybe you´re right, the little algae left on the canvas can make it grow faster

just clean it every 7-14 days.
